Application Now Being Accepted for Art Exhibition Featuring Independent Artists
CHICAGO (August 9, 2007) – The Artist Project, the second annual exhibition dedicated to independent artists of two-dimensional, mixed media, photography and sculpture, invites artists to apply for its second annual show at The Merchandise Mart in Chicago, taking place April 25-28, 2008. The show’s jury is seeking artists throughout the nation, without a current gallery affiliation to apply for the Show, which will run concurrently with Art Chicago, as part of Artropolis 2008.
The juried show will accept applications from fine artists now through November 22, 2007. Applications can be obtained at www.theartistproject.com
The Artist Project will once again be a distinctive addition to a citywide celebration of art, antiques and culture called Artropolis. The 2007 inaugural Artropolis weekend, which featured more than 8,000 works of art and antiques in five shows at The Merchandise Mart, drew international praise, and a record 42,113 individuals.
The 2008 Artist Project will open with a special Preview Night Celebration on Thursday, April 24, 2008.
