SHOWROOMS TOTALING MORE THAN 100,000 SQUARE FEET OF SPACE MAKE LONG-TERM COMMITMENTS TO THE L.A. MART® WITH NEW, EXPANDED AND RENEWED LEASES IN 2004
LOS ANGELES (Aug. 20, 2004) – Demonstrating their support and enthusiasm for the L.A. Mart,® 38 showrooms have made long-term commitments to the largest West Coast market center with new, expanded and renewed leases in 2004. These showrooms represent more than 100,000 square feet of space and feature products across all lifestyle merchandise categories. The L.A. Mart, the premier West Coast shopping destination for gift, home accessory and fine furniture retailers year-round, houses thousands of product lines and carries exclusive resources.
“Retailers and interior design professionals find top names in the gift and home industries at the L.A. Mart, many of which cannot be found anywhere else in the United States. In addition, our Temporaries @ L.A. Mart have had two great markets thus far. The floor was completely sold out, and the high-quality exhibitors helped to attract record attendance at the July Market,” said Gerry Seibel, vice president and general manager, L.A. Mart.
Temporaries @ L.A. Mart, a 50,000-square-foot collection of temporary exhibit space on the building’s 2nd floor, debuted at the January 2004 Gift & Home Furnishings Market™ and marked the first time in 50 years that the L.A. Mart had an exclusive temporary trade show floor. At the July 2004 Market, buyers shopped nearly 100 temporary exhibitors, adding to the already expansive product selection offered throughout the building.
