NEOCON® WEST SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 29-30, 2006, AT THE L.A. MART®
LOS ANGELES (July 6, 2005) – The eighth annual NeoCon® West exposition is scheduled for March 29-30, 2006, at the L.A. Mart®. A great resource for those in commercial design and management of commercial environments, NeoCon West is a boutique design event that showcases the latest interior design ideas and innovations being generated on the West Coast. The show offers a look at new products, as well as a wealth of information and education on the latest thinking in design, sustainability and the themes influencing the environments in which people work, live and play.
More than 5,000 interior designers, architects, facility managers and students attended the successful 2005 show. The crowd arrived with the show's opening, and booths remained packed through the show's end. "This points to a resurgence in the contract and high-end residential interior design industries. Business is up in Los Angeles, with a large increase in the office, health care and hospitality sectors," said Mel Schlitt, vice president of marketing, Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI), show producer and manager of NeoCon West.
The 2006 show once again will include special appearances by guest speakers, insightful seminars, special exhibits and showcases from manufacturers, as well as parties hosted by manufacturers and sponsor organizations. The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Calibre Awards, the annual design awards gala for the West Coast interior design community, is already scheduled for the evening of March 28. More dates will be shared as the event nears.
