FILBERT & FIG TO OPEN 16,000 SQUARE FOOT DESIGNER SHOWROOM
AT THE L.A. MART®, JANUARY 2005
LOS ANGELES (June 11, 2004) — L.A. Mart® is proud to announce the debut of a new residential showroom that will transform the building’s 10th floor to a significant furniture and accessory destination for Southern California’s interior design community.
Filbert & Fig joins L.A. Mart’s current portfolio of residential showrooms located on the main level, lower level, 11th and 12th floors, with a multi-year lease agreement that will present nationally renowned brand names in the home furnishings market.
Kindel Furniture Company, Atherton, Gamma, French Heritage, Woodbridge, Theodore & Alexander, Pride Sassor, EJ Victor, Carol Bolton, Whittemore-Sherrill, Giorgio, Filbert & Fig Upholstery, Filbert & Fig Fabric, Hypnos Royal Warrant Bedding and Kevin McFarren Fine Art are but a few of the current leading manufacturers to be featured along with several additional brand names to be identified.
Scott Rosenberg, president of The Rosenberg Group, a Division of Filbert & Fig (formerly The Rosenberg Group) is not only the driving force behind this new venture, but is also expanding his signature L.A. Mart accessory showroom from 4,500 square feet to more than 5,600 square feet, to be located adjacent Filbert & Fig.
“Our commitment and confidence in the L.A. Mart as a design center is the pivotal reason for The Rosenberg Group’s 30% expansion of its decorative accessory/home furnishings showroom and the impetus for the launch of Filbert & Fig,” said Rosenberg. “This significant new presence of more than 16,000 square feet will provide an incomparable array of furniture, upholstery, fabrics, floor coverings, lighting and wall décor, as well as decorative accessories to current and new design customers. Open to the trade only, Filbert & Fig will focus on the service-oriented philosophy upon which The Rosenberg Group has built its reputation.”
The opening and the expansion will further Rosenberg’s dedication to providing the design community with an environment that offers the highest level of quality product, service and integrity. Designers can depend upon a full-range of amenities and white-glove services including a professionally trained staff, timeliness in product delivery, a complete fabric room, and complimentary use of office tools and systems to conduct business while in the showroom.
“We are thrilled that Filbert & Fig has chosen the L.A. Mart to premiere its new designer showroom,” said Paul Watson, vice president and assistant general manager of the L.A. Mart. “As the new anchor to our 10th floor home furnishings business, Filbert & Fig will be a “must-shop” designer destination for the industry’s most valued brands. The showroom’s arrival, coupled with The Rosenberg Group expansion, the October arrival of Kravet/Lee Jofa and additional residential showroom lease agreements in progress, continues to advance L.A. Mart’s position as Southern California’s fastest growing design center.”
A grand-opening showroom celebration is currently being planned to coincide with Filbert & Fig’s January 2005 L.A. Mart premiere. Further details will be made available prior to the opening.
