CHICAGO (Nov. 16, 2004) – Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. (MMPI) is proud to announce the eighth annual Chicago Antiques Fair™ taking place April 29–May 2, 2005, in the 8th-floor Market Suites at The Merchandise Mart. Collectors, connoisseurs, designers and the general public are invited to experience the finest assortment of treasures from approximately 100 of the world’s leading dealers of antiques and fine art. A preview party benefiting the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), will kick off the Fair on Thursday, April 28, 2005, with pre-show shopping, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

“Each year the Chicago Antiques Fair attracts a wide variety of consumers ranging from seasoned collectors to first-time buyers,” said Joan Ulrich, vice president of leasing, MMPI. “We received great feedback on the changes that we made at last year’s show and we are continuing to build on that growth and excitement in 2005. We believe attendees will be impressed by the variety of antiques and collectibles on display from around the world, with unique items to add to any collection.”

Since its inception in 1997, the Antiques Fair has established itself as a premier art and antiques event in the Midwest as well as one of the nation's top annual events. The Fair has earned praise for the high quality and diversity of products, and has attracted international dealers from several countries. Some of the world’s premier antiques dealers will bring their very best to display at the Fair including furniture, decorative arts, ceramics, folk art, glass, jewelry, prints, posters, sculptures and more.
