Catlow will discuss the renovation of The Pentagon: how it was at the point of being cancelled to how it became an unprecedented success based on the project execution concepts employed by the new managers of The Pentagon Renovation Program Office, now the Pentagon Renovation and Construction Program Office. Catlow will also cover how the applied concepts enabled faster completion to what many thought was an impossible goal of rebuilding the Pentagon within one year of the September 11, 2001 attack.

A convening of leaders in interior design and architecture will discuss significant issues facing the practice and profession. The Enrichment Workshop: Walking the Labyrinth

This workshop, conducted by Beverly Russell, Ph.D., renowned editor, educator and certified labyrinth facilitator, introduces attendees to the power of the historic labyrinth, its sacred geometry and value for self-discovery. A journey to personal enrichment, participants will walk the labyrinth, a centering experience bringing harmony, balance and serenity to the spirit. The walking meditation offers helpful resolutions for personal and work-related stress. $30 fee includes handbook. Space is limited.

This day provides activities geared to interior design and architecture students throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
